Hey Mike,

This has been awesome to watch... I can't wait to get in front of the TV each night. The starters have been unconscious... though I agree that only Santana and Pelf are completely legit at this point. But hey... that's one better than last year. The development of Pelfrey has to be the story of April for the Mets.
Did you happen to hear Boomer and Carton interviewing Big Pelf the other day? They suggested that maybe he could lick John Maine's hands before his starts... haha!
I'm also of the persuasion that Ike Davis belongs... he's here for good... he's the next big thing in NY. And that's a great thing. I wanted him right out of Spring Training. But he's been a real spark plug for us. Along with Barajas, they've stretched that line-up out to where we can legitimately drive in a run all the way down to the 8 hole. But I'm with you that Mejia, although doing great here, would be better utilized as a starter in the minors. If either Maine or Perez need to be replaced, where do we turn? Mejia has the most upside, so I'd like to see him groomed for the role.
Time for a show, my friend. Do it while we're in 1st place! Who knows how long that will last? Probably not past this weekend, but I've got my fingers crossed!
