Well, we finally lost one. All good things must come to an end... there was no way we could play 1.000 baseball the rest of the season. So I'm fine with it. Many things went wrong today... from a lack of clutch hits to agonizingly close plays in the field that were dropped at the last moment. Things got out of hand, and we dropped one to the Phils. But honestly, if we win tonight (and we should), we're a game and a half in front of the Phillies and playing really great baseball. Wouldn't any sane Mets fan take that deal and count himself lucky? I'm just thrilled the Stems are giving us a reason to watch and hope this year. Something good is going on in that clubhouse, and the Mets are suddenly a "gritty" club instead of a "roll over and die" club.
